LAS VEGAS PROMO POSTER
This was my third assignment in my Digital Imaging class. Our assignment was to pick a destination and create a poster advertisement for that area. I chose Las Vegas because there are many buildings there that are unique to Las Vegas and are part of their "trademark", like the famous pyramid shaped Luxor Las Vegas hotel.
The first thing you probably noticed is the Las Vegas sign, one of the more famous structures found in the city. I picked fonts that matched the actual sign the closest. After looking at the sign, you'd see that it's the only part of the poster with color other than blue, black and white. I did that on purpose so that your attention focuses on the sign. I made sure to include some famous buildings found in Las Vegas. Again, I created the Luxor Las Vegas hotel. I made sure to include the beams of light shining from the hotel, and ended up manipulating it so that it'd frame the top part of the poster perfectly and create a nice little space to put text on. I also made a Wynn hotel and of course the Eiffel Tower. Of course, having only those buildings wasn't enough, so I included in the background a cityscape to make the poster more filling. All these buildings and structures were edited so that a white outline surrounded it, which makes the buildings look illuminated and more lifelike. For the text, I chose a font that made it look even more fancy. Again, for the color scheme, I kept the background simple with blues and grays, simply because I wanted to focus on the sign in the foreground. *All elements are MADE BY ME via Adobe Photoshop *Want to print it out?
