Hey guys! First off, I want to say that I wasn't able to get a post out last Sunday due to this period of time being extremely stressful for me - college applications! I just recently submitted my UCs, and I am now done with the college application process forever (hopefully). Something that I love to de-stress with is boba. I am actually addicted to this stuff. Contrary to my early new year's resolution post (you can find it here) I really have went against that goal. In fact, during Thanksgiving break alone, I got boba six times. In eleven days. Yes, I know that's a lot. And no, I honestly don't regret it. I thought it would be appropriate to write a post about my favorite boba places. In today's post, I will be including my favorite shops based on their fruit teas, and I will post one based on milk teas next week. Let's get started! 1.) Happy Lemon Happy Lemon is definitely one of the best boba spots to grab some fruit tea. My absolute go to drink is the Kumquat Lemon Green Tea. It's one of the most refreshing drinks I have ever tried. It comes with lychee jelly included in the price, and even a whole real kumquat pit. What's also great about Happy Lemon is, just like in its name, the lemon teas! They have fresh lemon teas which, contrary to a lot of boba teas I have, actually makes me feel healthy and good about myself. Happy Lemon is probably the tea shop I visit the most out of this list of my top five. 2. SuperCue SuperCue is another one of my favorite shops to visit. I've recently been buying the Passion Fruit QQ everytime I go there. Basically, it's a passion fruit green tea with boba and lychee jelly included. They also have an option where you can combine any tea you want with any flavor. What's great is that they have a wide selection of teas to choose from. What I mean is that instead of just one general black tea, they have assam and earl grey, and the same goes for their green and oolong teas. 3. Q Tea Monster Q Tea Monster has something really cool: split cups, and dolphin shaped jelly. I love split cups because often times, I find that there are so many teas that I want to try at a shop, but I don't want to buy two drinks and ingest all of that sugar, you know? Split cups are perfect. Their actual fruit teas have a natural flavor. I don't go to Q Tea Monster very often as it's about 20 minutes away from where I live, but whenever I do go, it's always a blast. Something funny is that I remember that I would always take my SAT and SAT Subject Tests in that area, and every time I would go to this shop afterwards as a sweet treat. 4. Freshie Tea This tea store recently opened up, and it's only a 2 minute drive from my house. They have something called a whole lemon tea, which is a lemon tea, but they also put in a whole lemon in there, and it's really, really refreshing. I love their mango green tea as well, and I always get that paired with some strawberry heart shaped jellies. Their grapefruit green tea is one of my favorites too. Also, it doesn't hurt that my friend works there, and I get a sneaky little discount! 5. Factory Tea Bar Factory Tea Bar is essentially the only shop where I get my beloved strawberry teas from. They even have a strawberry kiwi flavor, which is something I'll be trying the next time I go there. They have a ton of fruit flavors, including green apple, guava, and orange, flavors that aren't normally associated with boba teas, such as mango or passion fruit.
Those were my five favorite boba shops! Once again, I'll be doing a milk tea edition next week. Happy Sunday!
