Hey guys! This week I have prepared a fun little post because I've been having a pretty stressful couple of days, prepping for finals, AP tests, SAT Subject tests, continuing my extracurriculars, homework, projects while balancing that with college searching, building my FIRST EVER resume, and looking for summer jobs. (Junior year is something else, huh?) I wanted to take a bit of time to wind down each day and write something FUN. So for today's post, I will be talking about some inventions that I will always appreciate. They all have a special place in my heart; I'm so grateful that they exist. I'm also going to be diverging from what people traditionally say is their preferred inventions - such as phones or cars - and will be exploring more random items that I really can't live without. Let's get started! 1. The Power outlet strip This thing is amazing. Power cord too short? Not a problem! Need more outlet spaces? This one strip has got you covered! This household necessity has made it super convenient for me to comfortably lie in my bed and scroll through my phone while it's charging. 2. Oil blotting sheets I come home after school, too lazy to properly wash my face. What do I do? I pop one of these bad boys out from my bathroom drawer and dab my face, getting rid of all the oil and dirt. Quick, easy, and efficient! 3. stress balls I can't tell you how many times I squeeze stress balls everyday, especially RIGHT NOW with so much testing coming up. Squeezing the stress balls feels so good. I like to breathe deeply everytime I stress and it makes me feel a lot more relaxed. Thanks to whoever came up with the idea of the stress ball! 4. air conditioning Seriously guys, I would die if air conditioning wasn't a thing. I'm a person who sweats a lot even if it's not that hot outside and it can get pretty gross. Air conditioning saves me, though. 5. the Air fryer This small, amazing kitchen appliance makes "frying" food items like fries and chicken strips SO easy. You can even cook brownies and cookies in it! And the best part is that it doesn't use oil to fry your food either. I believe the hot air somehow creates a crispy layer on top of your food. Anyways, it really does work. All my fries come out nice and crispy and crunchy and I even reheat food like panfried chicken breasts in the appliance and it tastes freshly cooked! I feel like if I had to bring a kitchen appliance with me to college, this would be it.
That was it! This post was a bit shorter, but look forward to next week for something cool. Hint: it's about a book series! Have a great day everyone!
