Birthday card #2
I created this card cover for my dad's recent birthday.
I utilized his favorite colors: blue and yellow. I used a wide variant of the two colors. For example, some of the yellows were closer to oranges while others were closer to greens. At first, I wanted to create something like an explosion of colors instead of the geometric pointy shape I have right now, but I decided against that because I thought something simple like this would be better. To contrast the blocky feel of the shape, I chose a curvy, cute font. To make it more legible, I added a thin white outline to the text. Finally, I thought the card was too plain with a white background so I made it a light blue and added a yellow border line. I made this in about 20 minutes because it was actually the day of my dad's birthday and coincidentally it was also finals week for me, so I rushed through the process, so that's why there are a couple of mistakes and rough edges that I missed. *All elements were made by ME. *I used the free program FireAlpaca. *Want to print this out?
